Trot-About Riding School is excited to introduce our 2014 Summer Session Program.
This year we will be offering an
Introduction to Horses for 5 and 6 year old horse
as well as an Introduction to Horses for 7 and 8 yr old Riders
These sessions will be limited to 4 or 6 participants depending on age and will be
facilitated by
CHA Certified Instructor Cris Pemberton and
CHA Certified Assistant  Instructor Marie Gray.
Sessions for our 5 and 6 year old riders will start at 10am and end at 1230 pm each
for 3 days in succession and will be limited to 4 students. Introduction to Horses for
7 and 8 year olds will start at 10 am and end at 130pm and will also run for three days
This class is limited to 6 Riders.

Also new this year Trot-About Riding School is proud to offer  CHA Level 1 as well  as
CHA Level 2  Sessions for riders 9 years and older. Horsemanship skills utilizing the
curriculum developed by CHA will be introduced.  Participants will have the opportunity
to earn awards when they reach
the level of proficiency required to meet the
CHA  Standards for that level.  Camp curriculum will be geared to the successful
completion of both the written exam and mounted test
which will be administered on the
final day of the session. Riders may participate in the CHA Level 2 session once they
have mastered the skills and gained the knowledge needed to meet the
CHA standards
Level 1 . These fun-filled and educational programs will be limited to 8 participants
and will start at 10am and end at 2pm 3 days in succession. A 4th day starting a 10am
for testing and an opportunity for family to observe what students have learned
concludes the session.

As always safety and fun for both horse and rider is our first consideration. Having
students walk away with new skills and an even deeper love and respect for their
amazing equine teachers is the main motivator that drives Mini Acres Trot-About Riding
